"i went wild"

 by KAROLINA

My sweet,

Iīm so exited for you, 2 weeks left, how do you feel? Who knows where the hell Iīll be in 2 weeks but Iīll keep you updated. Sorry I havenīt written. Itīs been insane. Just when I thought it couldnīt get crazier.

So, I was hiking down a waterfall, a long long long way, with this Brazilian dude and my chicas. It was amazing, it looked like Africa, crystals were growing out of the ground all around us, it was mining country, I went wild (I love rocks you know). We also went caving into pitch black gold mines that are off limits, but this guy guided us on all fours with a candle in pitch blackness. It was a rebirthing experience.

OK, back to the water fall: when we were done diving in, 2 men in masks came and held a gun to me to rob us. I lost everything, and I know they were thinking about raping me. I was in my bikini and they kept staring at me but it was 4 of us and 2 of them and they thought it might be too difficult. Luckily they came when they did because I was about to change clothes and I would have been naked. I protested camly, only to get the very shiny silver gun pointed away from my head while they were beating the Brazilian dude with a huge stick.

Through it all, I swear I knew we would be fine and I kept so still and tried to calm everybody down. But I fucking lost great pictures, money, camera, backpack, cloths, and my fucking journal that was 1 page shy of being finished; 1 and half years of my life, some really good writing. I was pissed and wanted to go with the police to the spot and follow their tracks but those fucks, they wouldn't do it.

Anyway, Iīm 3 towns away, havenīt been able to write shit, and last night I had another crazy experience with a stalker who had to be escorted away by the police; some insane but taletned Afro-Brazilian artist who showed me a lot of amazing underground stuff. I met a lot of locals that way, and people into black magic (itīs all African here, hard core). I had to seek protection from one of the other dudes. Itīs weird systems here, very teritorial. But the music is so killer, Mike you would cream your pants at the beats here; completely shiver all over.

But I'm heading on today, gotta get out of town for awhile cuz heīs on my track. Gonna chill at the beaches north of here. Iīm tired of men; every 5 seconds someone is in my face...

My life is totaly out of control but so rich with experience itīs hard to breathe sometimes. Only my bus rides give me peace. Thank god they usually last 15 hours...

Love and more love,
k
